DANA 6-day China Wood Products Tour - log and lumber import ports, sawmills, veneer/plywood mills, furniture factories and a major construction site. The price of this tour is NZD 5,200 (around USD 4,000), Shanghai Airport to Shanghai Airport. This is less than the price of a return business class ticket from Auckland NZ to Shanghai.

This event will be a two day conference organised jointly by DANA and Boston USA based RISI. The first day will be focused on timberland investments, with a keynote speaker; followed by several presentations on
REITs vs. Direct/Fund Manager Investments (the liquidity question?).
Several international regional and North America investment opportunities.
Timberland investment strategies for different classes of investors (e.g. pension fund direct investments; institutional investments through TIMOs, family offices etc.
An analyst panel with top 5 picks for 2015 - 2016 and why.
The 2nd day will feature a CEO from a major North American forest products producer, followed by each of the RISI economists discussing the outlook in North America for the particular product they follow (housing, lumber, wood panels, biomass, pulp, paper, packaging, etc.).

DANA 2-day African Timberland and Wood Processing Investment Conference to be held at the Durban Hilton Hotel followed by a 1-2 day field trip, which includes on day one: Visit to Durban NCT Woodchip Export facility at Durban Port; Richmond Pole Treating Plant; Visit to E smithii plantation and trials; Bracken Sawmill and Charcoal Factory.
